Eid Mubarak
Darulfatwa Australia announced that Wednesday, November 18, 2009, is the first day of the month of Zulhijja of the year 1430H., according to a number of reliable witnesses.
Accordingly, this year’s Hajj (Stand on Arafat Mountain), which is the ninth day of the month of Zulhijja every year, falls on Thursday November 26, 2009 and the first day of Eid Al-Adha will be on Friday November 27, 2009, wishing pilgrims successful Hajj and Muslims all over the world a blessed Eid.
Prophet, Muhammad peace be upon him, said:
“Fasting on the day of ‘Arafah absolves the sins for the previous year and the coming year.
